It’s about time!

So, I’ve been really bad about posting on my blog unfortunately..I just read my brother-in-law’s blog and was very entertained so it inspired me to post again and let everyone know what’s going on from my perspective.

Well, today I hit 31 weeks which is pretty darn good for a small-framed 5′2″ girl pregnant with three babies probably in the range of 3.5-4.5lbs each. I have been in the hospital a total of 17 days at this point over the last month or so for issues of preterm labor. I will be on bedrest for the duration of the pregnancy which could end tomorrow or 2+ weeks from now. Each day that the babies stay in is that much better for them. I know that in my head, but as each day, each moment passes I feel like I am at a constant war within myself. I (probably selfishly) feel like I am about at my limit of being pregnant and I feel my body screaming to get them out quite regularly. But in my head I know that the longer they are in there, it is so much better for them and so much less time they will have to be in the hospital and that is better for not only them but the whole family. So I continue to tough it out one day/night at a time as I do my best to keep them put. Don’t let anyone ever tell you having triplets is easy!

My doctor is encouraging..a week ago she said she’d be surprised if I made it to 32 weeks, but this morning she said that she thought I would make it and she was really happy about that.

So in the words of Paul I am pressing on towards the goal and I know the reward will be great. On a lighter note though..I still daily continue to feel so blessed and honored that God would find me worthy of not only being the mother to my 2 incredible sons, but also carrying, giving birth and raising these 3 precious girls. That is a lot of responsibility and I do not take it lightly. I think He has more faith in me than I have in myself!

Well, for those of you who are out there praying for me, please keep doing so. We all need it as we anticipate much change in our family in the next coming weeks and months.
