Good blog Kristi, are you planning on incorporating this into your Courageous Homekeeping?

Do you have a tracer to see what king of activity you are getting and where in the world you are reaching with your website?

I like your idea of planting flowers in spots that were previously "ugly" Flowers have a way of making things look better.

Looking forward to seeing pictures of your wildflower garden, I have done that several times and it always is a cheerful sight.

I have a "natural" garden underneath our fir trees that what ever grows there as long as it is not a pesky week gets to stay. Not much grew there before but now it is covered with things the wind, birds and squirrels planted for me.

Nice start to your garden. You are correct marigolds are suppose to repel slugs and other pests.

It is a good idea keeping a journal of your garden, that way when you do it again you will know what worked and what did not.

This being an exceptionally wet spring you might find the need to reseed or replant as the seed or young plants might rot because of all the water.

I suppose I should qualify that statement with unless you have unusually sandy or loose soil, but much of the soil here is silt or clay and hold the water really well.

Good luck and I am looking forward to your gardens progress!

I'm following along too Kristi! Thanks for the posts. I've been interested in couponing for a while, but having a succinct explanation of how to really get a bang for your buck is so helpful! I hope the next post comes soon.

I just wanted to say thank you Kristi! I don't know if I will ever get to were you are, but the hardest part about coupons for me is understanding all this info! You do a great job expaining it to us newbies!

oh. my. word. that is an AMAZING day. I'm glad you documented it so that you never forget it. Probably one day you'll look back fondly on it... now that you survived it :)

I can sympathize... though perhaps not on such a grand scale!

You seriously made my day! I agree with the gal above, my cheeks hurt from laughing so stinkin hard!=D What's hilarious is Jeremy commented when we left how incredibly neat & tidy your house was when we got there. Complete with pretty spring flowers, and a bowl of Martha Stewart lemons on the table. Then by the time we left, well......Let's just say that "WE GET IT"now! =] When you say you clean up and 10 minutes later it's messy we completely understand in a tangible way now. You and Josh are just simply out numbered when it comes to mess makers. On a side note, the cheesecake was not remotely overdone but rather delicious, the store bought bread didn't stop us from over indulging in it, and your kids were AWESOME so I am not sure what you're referring to by the melt down they had? =]
